Shekon, Oki and Osiyo! Greetings, thanks and love for my relatives. Whom my parents and grandpreants and all our ancestors share with us here, along with 500 other nations in the Americas.

American Typography

My parents brought our history and origins to us as children with stories of Creation. Looking up, father would always point out bear's Great Spirit in Sky. At night, falling to sleep, mother would tells us stories of Sky woman, who journeyed from the origins of the universe to this place with Turtle, the Spirit modern science calls the Americas, North her shell, South her tail. Above, Grandfather sun and Grandmother moon. Our faith involves prayer to Sprits of life, Wind and Sun. Communion with the Spirits of animals who share Earth with us, Turtle and Bear, many others. Communication with our Ancestors, important people in our lives who honor us with their presence, when we are in need.

Connection to universe, beyond the normal scope of human existence, faith, human faith. Handsome Lake is part of our faith that deals with attaching our presence to the presence of others, for Americans are sensitive to the presence of the faiths of the visitors to the Americas. Sadly, that presence involves assault on the people of Turtle Island, our rural tribes of seasonal gatherers in the North, our larger cities in the South. The decimation of our culture by the greed and barbaric violence of the Invader, the ignorance of the Visitor, disposed against our gentle humanity, our connection with nature. The human civilization of the Americas integrating with Empire, disarray resulting from violent criminal assault on our faith: that is the context of Handsome Lake. The people of the Great Lakes, understanding life and each other, that is the environment of Handsome Lake.

Fontography for the Americas is required for Handsome Lake. We, the Haudenosaunee favor oral traditions over written records, so we must borrrow phonetic characters from other Americans to share Handsome Lake online. Further south, in our cities, Americans have written language. That language is not a shared language on the Internet. Halfway there, my grandfather's people, the Tsalagi use fonts called syllabarys, to write what they speak using font symbols. Fontographers use several typefaces to display Cherokee syllabary: for example, ~ ᏳᏇᎩ ~ spoken as "Osiyo", meaning welcome.

Connectedness: about the author

First, the physical existence, then we can understand the moral existence better. It is the social reaponsibility of each individual to fit in with social reality. Though we can only do this to the extent that a social realty is allowed to exist, with the protective resources of community and culture. Empire damages society everywhere it goes, to replace balance with imbalance, so that its ongoing criminal acts of genocide and resource theft can proceed without interferrence. Criminal hostiles, each citizen of Empire has a duty to be racist, to assist colony government to steal and murder. The home life of career criminals that Empire has cast across the face of Earth, is not the good life they left behind, in every social respect. So they all tend to violent creepiness, and malinger about on lands that will never belong to them, waiting for a call home. Or they got lost on land they are not connected to, and disintegrate. Connectedness.

I really don't get it, all the militant (colony) hype about "man", the dominant one. I grew up in, and have always made my home, the resting place for female wisdom. The male role is subservience to the female role, being and learning from her wisdom to find the good mind. Where a home is bad, the bad mind lives. Woman is not in control, there is no good mind. This seems to be the foundation of Empire's global criminal chaos. Crime that isssues from completely corrupted laws cannot even describe, let alone manage social balance. "I take what I can steal, its mine anayway." Haudenosaunee and all American relatives carry Gai'wiio, which measures and apportions as justice in community, and balance in home. Gai'wiio teaches tolerance of Empire's active and willfull destruction of social balance. Gai'wiio, in blunt terms, is the only survivable thread of human existence for our species on this planet, everywhere the Caucasian Empire has expanded.

Being male, I can only sense that she seeks female company more often than she needs me, but for me... life without her is baren. So entering her home, sharing her home is itself a lesson in acheiving the good mind. This is not to say one woman or man is always going to be this way or that. This is simply the way that nature intended, the way that keeps human balance best.

In our species, clealy the male is physically more powerful. Clearly male life is created by, shaped by and dependent on female life.

At three university campuses around Earth I studied behavioral science (the biochemistry version of psychiatry and statistical version of social work, sociology on hermeneutic steroids). Science teaches us that women not only have twice the genetic material. Observation of average 'her' and average 'him' shows twice as much organized electrical activity on the 'her' side. Female humans have twice the social intelligence.

At the chromosomal level, the balanced home understanding is proven. Each male cell is missing half of the genetic structure found in the female cell. Loosely, we term male XY and female XX. Each chromosome stem is a physical biochemical current connector. 50% of the male's biochemically organized current is lost. Aside from a general reduction in human male lifespan, there are huge social costs, where society fails to respect this foundation of human behavior. I grew up not only understanding this connectedness, i was linked into a universe of it. I feel it in all Americans. Physical balance based on inherant social balance. Even the homeless drunk has it. Visitors have no such balance, here. Sensation.

Cultures where males dominate all aspects of life suffer cultural psychosis. They are unable to optimize resource, damage environment and community everywhere they go, frequently engage war and genocide, and are generally not conducive to human survival, over the millions of years that we watch the progression of our species. Haudenosaunee is survivable, socially and culturally, while Empire is a lost cause. Assuming we recognize Haudenosaunee as understanding Gai'wiio.

It's really a no-brainer why women have the smarts. Our survival as a species depends on her getting it right. Man's contribution is never more than a few seconds of pleasure for each child born. Our faith, concentric to the life that sustains us on mother Turtle's shell, results a healthy, self-supporting and continuous commmunity of faith, a secure cultural balance, and peace that humans always attach to such balance.

A global disturbance to human faith exists in Caucasia's loud historionic accounting of a male who gives birth in the sky, a pregnant penis. Particularly among the more psychotic and fatally expansive Christians, pagan festivals are out of touch with the climate that sustains us. Mid winter, Haudensaunee practice thankfullness for the good things Mother earth brings to us: we bagan our prayers of thankfullness at the end of harvest, but now magnify that sentiment with appreciation of the burden our culture carries, Gai'wiio, a relection on thankfulness, and a prayer for greater thenkfulness. At the same time, pragmatic, rewarding thanfulness is ignored by Empire's people. Their sky thing goes into labor every year, birthing the same thing over and over: re-birthing universe according to their latest science.

Every Spring, as life awakens in our northern hemisphere, rather than celebrate life (as we do, setting out the tools and purposes for grandfather Sun's coming season of plenty) they celebrate stabbing their 3 month old infant thing to death on a cross shapped like knives they use to stab living people to death (millions of Empire's victims have died at their hands thus). We Americans see primitive violence in Caucasian faith.

What Caucasians see, is relevant to the good mind only as respects the need to steer clear of psychotic violence and the culture and thought processes that trigger it. So that we can arrange safety and security in our lives and faith, it is wise to reflect on these things. Physical dissociation of practical response to the living environment's seasons, massive social disorientation (including geophysical disorientation expressed as echolalia in documented and verbal "indian" racism), primitive and violent worship of male preganancy, loss of connectedness to the Earth environment, massive decimmation of supporting ecosystems, general psychosis.

Keeping all that hard, cool science in mind, please now reflect on the moral chaos around... that presence. I am American. Not a Visitor from Kenya, or some other alien destination calling myself American. A real American. It seems our American culture, very distinct from the psychotic culture of the alien visitors, is more attuned to nature. We have Clan Mothers, for example. We have an attitude that where trouble befalls us, we seek wisdom, not murder weapons. We avoid all those Visitor psychotic traits (disorientation, violence, massive weaponization, incrementing disorganization). Even penned up like sardines on reservations, watching Caucasia steal all our resources, abducting, raping and murdering our children and women, reltively speaking, today we are within reach of the good mind. In stark contrast, the Visitors, in their 21st century, on their calendar year 2015, they so often appear, as they practice their perverted genocide, to completey lack focus and moral direction. They cannot even pause to consider where or who they are.

Globally, not just here in the Americas, not just on the soil peopled by their Ancestral children, who migrated here across hundreds of thousands of years, today all humans face that impediment to trade, prosperity and wellness. Benefits like milaria treatment are flashed in our faces, an millions die of starvation, lacking community security that Empire has disrupted. Stop gap measures are the only policy available, as Empire declines. Finding stable human reservoirs ourside of Empire's chaos is a challenge for the good mind.

Faith's desecration is aimed by Empire against all of Earth's human inhabitants. The psychotic culture aggressively seeks response, testng its victims, hunting down opposition to its commision of crime. We are all distorted by criminal assault. All humans alive must distort, or perish. Violent assault is not a normal, healthy way of life. In the Americas, observing our response, the alien Visitors fall back on terms like "social work", and "poverty outcomes" to 'classify' and 'imprison' our healthy culture. Only their way emerges, or else! No bones to rattle here. It is not possible to workout humanity's problemsm eaxh of us our own problems, unless we accept the psychosis and the enormity of the criminal impact that assails us. The real world context of faith benefits for all humans, where we honor our faith as a peaceful human process that guides us to a good mind and the better life that results.

As we regain control and begin to stabilize the mess Caucasia has created on our land... Even assuming Caucasia's crimes and criminals are (eventually) correctly managed, we still have to deal with the insane assylum bulldozed up onto our land. Including (but not limited to) upfront Crusade mayhem, the bizzare, impoverished warring of three different primitive sects of pregnant sky-penis religions in an endless war now 1,600 years old. As Empire wears down, it attempts to enhance internal conflict by removing members less reliable.

"Perhaps that dumping of human trash is the most devastating aspect of the criminals' occupation [Australian mother, speaking of the same 'disease infestation' on her people's land]". Some may argue that Americans are not as insulted as Australians, becasue England's South Pacific colony is almost entirely composed of Caucasian criminals sentenced to life in Australia rather than jail and dumped without consent onto Australian's land. Racism that is horrendous on Turtle Island is immensely worse in the colony steered by criminals. Knowing that will not make my life in the Americas any better. Criminal intent of the aggressor is another significant impact on American peace and faith. Global impacts are shared.

Population dynamic further insults American culture. As we regain control, and begin to stabilize our social environment (including all the human baggage), our American population is immense, hundreds of millions, over half a billion. Though one cannot rely on DNA analysis offered by the criminal culture, surrently engaged in its racist "Ancestry" campaign in North America, attempting to recover what is permanently lost. Racist DNA excludes American presence, marries a theory of human evolution that starts and ends in Euope, with the Americas only the map for a few thousand years. Our cities where they vacation are older than their maps. The number of persons of American descent is many times more than the miniscule number who remain on reservations. My mother had eight children, and similar families for all my close relatives who are too many for me to count. None of us live in environments that have the potential to support healthy faith. We are all exposed to faith teaching psychotic, primitive violence. We are all of us caught up in a violent, primitive culture. Faith inundated by deception, a further criminal assult impact.

Cross-breeding with aliens has not reduced our number. Rather, genetic diversification has complicated social organization, limiting healthy home environments, and thus further shutting out healthy community faith. For example, early 2015 Haudenosaunee, Kanien'keha:ka, Kahnawake voted on whether or not to evict anyone 'not born American'. That vote and energy may have been far better spent initiating Gai'wiio. Shaping faith through practice, to fit our environmental reality. My father would have called the vote, "whimpering". I doubt it was even that, though being outside and longing for anything better than what Empire spews out, I would vote for all American, definitely no Caucasian inside of our shelter. Simply because we have enough stress already, without having to live with deranged culture in our midst. However, my mother always scolded me when I took that attitude, because even though this racist approach has always been the attitude and policy behind Empire's global criminal occupation, it is not conducive to finding a way forward together. We can offer our passions to any cause. Let's choose to follow a path, not an agenda. Our Gai'wiio enhanced morality is indeed a footstep on our path. Integrated belonging within the land that supports us, connected morality.

Connecting this document with respect

We Americans feel especially sensitive about language and identity today, as our lands are illegaly expropriated by Caucasia, engaging its Empire in a global resource rape. To add insult to injury, the criminal colony culture in some locations calls itself 'american' and refers to Americans as 'indians', and Africans as Americans. Linguistic terrorism that has spread to (accelerated in) other racist Caucasian nations in Western Europe. Globally, England and its 'nation state' colonies refer to Americans as 'indians'. Geographic disorientation leading to absolute abborogation of all treaty rights is as much a part of font selection as racial and ethnic victimization.

Yet, there is a far deeper current in our victimization.

What do we need to repect here, in the context of assembling the materials to build this document? First and foremost, we must appreciate the moral struggle that exists today. Americans struggle with Caucasian presence. How does that alien presence shape our morality?

Caucasians victimize themselves, deepening the anguish of all their victims, who unlike the psychosed, feel real human empathy. In the real context of attempted personal cultural bridging, one runs into disoriented moral echolalia, absolute ignorance. This ignorance is destroying Empire. The longer Caucasians are away from the land they belong to, the more disoriented they become. Five million years of hominid history demonstrate cultural extinction, where the deceased push settlement outside native geospheres within thousands of years. 500 years ago our species used nwe technology to accelerate extention, cutting short on thousands of years we need to acclimatize. In the rocks, fossils remain and cultures die.

Haudensaunee law and culture, including Gai'wiio, does observe, support and peacefully manage settlement expansion and integrated social boundaries. Likewise all American geopolitical entities. For tens of thousands of years, or nomadic Blackfoot migrated seasonally within a small region, like our neighbours. Not so Cancasian settlement in the Americas.

Blackfoot connect morailty to Spirits we can touch and feel in the land around us. Moral connectedness does not exist in Caucasian's colony culture. Its laws and practices are thoroughly and meticulously followed, but what they follow is absent. The distortion we mentioned above is constantly at work, redefining 'lies' to suite the only survivable environment for their culture. A cultural they left behind, when they came to the Americas. A steady srteam of us arrived here over 100,000 years ago. Prior to the flat-earth people arriving 500 years ago, weather had isolated the Americas for thousands of years, with few narrow windows of opportunity for tens of thousands of years. All that time, Americans became survivable in America, and Caucasians became survivable in Caucasia.

Cultural extinction is distinct from physical extinction which also occurs for over extended hominid settlement. During Earth's great extinction events, over extended settlements vanish. Lots of rock, no fossil. Yellowstone is about to blow, is 45,000 years overdue, and in tandem with her last 5 eruptions, her wait will increase extinction. During each of her last two eruptions (one on time and one a little bit early) she removed 90% of then living species to a depth of 500 meters under Her oceans. In very plain words, Empire's end is inevitable. Our cognitive and social connection with Empire and its people flows from the good mind, as an example of the path to avoid, strengthening what is correct, by accessing correct choices for human settlement. If we are to live together, across our hemispheres, we need to find another way to share prosperity. We need from the very depths of our faith to grasp and contemplate change, to interact correctly.

As Americans, we can feel colony's decline. It hurts and burdens our aware human minds. Though we dismiss it, it is there again when we waken. Real things, like compassion and care surface. "Our faith is constantly being shaped by the racist indolents," my Blackfoot father complained one day. We cannot share and protect oursleves (or each of us, our unique presence) with faith that is hidden in a root cellar. Without making our faith available for all, it is frankly useless. Only our people (our cultures) have access to American faith. Our spirits, minds and bodies carry the shape of our survival on our land. Our actions give that shape unique form and momentum. Europeans in Caucasia's West are inspired by visions of pregnant men? Americans are inspired by visions of ancestors, and the lives of animals who share our space. Not much connection in physical behavior, moral identity. Identical connectedness on the lands where we belong.

These shapes here are only the borrowed letters of a language absent from our dreams, spaces, words pulled from thoughts, whispers of Wind. The path does not exist here. It was connected in our hearts when we were born.

The path we follow determines our past, present and future. Four directions, or simply four perceptions of reality as we progress? Purpose for the good mind attached to the good culture. That journey is a sprinkle of letters cast here into the current of our river, where she flows beside the Visitor river. Some of the letters fall there, in the Visitor river, where they disseminate across the Internet to a thousand rivers, the cultures of Mother Earth. Some of the letters fall as thoughts into our civilized hearts, far away from the Barbaruan's world. Each life with its own perceptions, laws and communities of faith.

About syllabary and Other Appearances

We do not use the extended entities for Handsome Lake, as the Kanien'keha:ka nation is not using Tsalgi nation syllabary. The Chreokee fonts are chosen because, like the Eaglefeather font, they include research into the language cultures of the American peoples.

Other fonts are prepared. These include large Comfortaa, subtle Josefin sans, and plain Arcitects Daughter. All three from Google are old (unhinted) True Type files, with modern Open Type versions, supplied by monotype, or digitally constructed by Riverleaf. Also from Monotype, we have Graphite and Tekton Pro. Perhaps working together, Americanized (syllabary), beside 'other' fonts with aesthetic attachment to architecture, will help us all to orient the destabilizing criminal class to 'who is who' and 'where we all are'... today.

Grandmother Moon sees all of us together on Turtle Island. Americans must always push harder at being... who we are. Which is a big part of real, human and Earthly American peace: freedom to associate and communicate in manners less barbaric than our alien Visitors, the war mongering Caucasians. So the path we have chosen together, is our path today. We will reflect that here, our choice of spiritual association. We will begin here by building a house of words. After all, architicture is the fine art of housing... whatever you call it. So it is that we came here... to use fonts that house Americans. As far as we can. Americans are constantly at work, improving syllabarys. Though none of us knows what the future holds. We may all end up writing Hopi or Aztec. Who knows?
