River Stars

American Faith Prays

Comfort guides each breath; and I feel these lovely valley winds team with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of Her trees, and but a few stray gleams settle a calm that stirs into the inner sanctuary, where I gently drop myself down among the tall grasses by Her trickling streams; dreaming, and as I rest so close to earth, a thousand unknown plants are noticed by me: when I hear the buzz of little Worlds among the stalks, and grow familiar with the countless indescribable forms of the insects and little creatures, sweet scented flowers, fruits and tress, forests, streams, sleeping lakes and endless seas.

Then I feel the presence of the Great Spirit, who brought life to this universe, the endless and unstoppable flow of this River of stars and dark, peaceful, humming space: and so awaking here, in this spinning place we call Earth, in this Her sacred place, Her Earth which nurtures all life as we know it to be. CHIA'RA'LILI! A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, as I pray with Her gift, Life. We are all her children, our songs like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and so we are all alone here, in this spot, together. We feel the charm of existence. Our thoughts the whispers of spirit winds, passing through this peace, purpose and prosperity. Keepers. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of tranquil existence. Hope and care, wisdom flowing from her Great Being to the people of Her Land..

So this must be the place of our Ancestors. One hundred thousand years of Haudenosaunee, Tsalagi, Hopi and Pikuni and a thousand others of our blood. In our hearts we dance and sing. In our eyes, their eyes shine too. In our dreams, the dreams of all spirits, the pathways of all living things. Great Spirits, we are here! And so for each moment in passing time, for each precious moment between us, between all human beings, we share this prayer, these three words, of our best human intentions. Blending each voice and thought and dream into the Great River of her Life, great gift we share with wisdom, hope and care.

Greetings, thanks, love.
